Gli SSD Crucial MX500 hanno conquistato il favore degli utenti grazie alle buone performance unite al prezzo particolarmente aggressivo (vedere questa pagina su Amazon Italia).

Crucial ha appena rinnovato anche la serie BX: unità a stato solido pensate per quegli utenti che desiderano ridurre al minimo i costi. Disponibili nei “tagli” da 120 GB, 240 GB e 480 GB, gli SSD BX500 costano rispettivamente 29,99 dollari, 49,99 dollari e 89,99 dollari.

La durata dichiarata dal produttore è piuttosto limitata (vedere La durata degli SSD è un parametro di cui preoccuparsi?) ed è compresa tra 40 e 160 Terabyte a seconda del modello.

Crucial non ha fornito molti dettagli tecnici sui BX500: è stato comunque confermato l’utilizzo di memorie 3D NAND di tipo TLC e l’unico formato da 2,5 pollici.

Sul versante prestazionale i nuovi SSD economici BX500 raggiungono i 540 MB/s e i 500 MB/s in lettura e scrittura sequenziale.
