I nuovi Lumia 950 e Lumia 950 XL offriranno, già preinstallata, la versione definitiva di Windows 10 Mobile (vedere Microsoft lancia Lumia 950 e 950 XL, le caratteristiche).
Gli acquirenti del primo device, in particolare, potranno usare Windows 10 Mobile a novembre, un mese prima del rilascio generalizzato del sistema operativo.

Microsoft ha infatti confermato che Windows 10 Mobile sarà distribuito a dicembre, sebbene la data esatta non sia stata ancora resa nota.

Ma quali dispositivi Windows Phone potranno essere aggiornati a Windows 10 Mobile?

Per poter aggiornare un dispositivo Windows Phone a Windows 10 Mobile bisognerà necessariamente disporre dell’update Lumia Denim (versione 8.10.14219.341 o successiva) ed essere possessori di un device dotato di almeno 8 GB di storage.

Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 635 (1 GB RAM), Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830 e Lumia 930 sono quindi i dispositivi che certamente potranno essere aggiornati a Windows 10 Mobile, a dicembre.

Microsoft potrebbe comunque aggiungere alla lista altri modelli prima del rilascio della versione finale di Windows 10 Mobile o, successivamente, a stretto giro.
