Le chiavette 2FA FIDO2 sono dispositivi che consentono di semplificare e velocizzare l’autenticazione e quindi l’accesso su quei servizi che supportano l’autenticazione a due fattori: Sicurezza account, come migliorarla con le chiavette FIDO2.

Facebook supporta le chiavette per l’autenticazione a due fattori già dal 2017: per configurarne l’utilizzo basta visitare questa pagina e cliccare sul pulsante Usa una chiave di sicurezza.

La novità è che da oggi Facebook ha esteso il supporto delle chiavi di sicurezza ai dispositivi Android e iOS: diventa quindi possibile usare una chiavetta FIDO2 per accedere all’account social anche dai dispositivi mobili.

Le moderne chiavette per l’autenticazione a due fattori vengono infatti commercializzate in vari formati, supportano USB-A, USB-C, Lightning per la connessione agli iPhone, Bluetooth e NFC. Sono inoltre molto più sicure rispetto ad altri meccanismi di autenticazione (ad esempio l’invio di codici di conferma tramite SMS: SIM swap: cos’è e come funziona l’attacco) perché il login a qualunque servizio compatibile richiede necessariamente l’inserimento o l’accoppiamento wireless della chiavetta.
