Come sappiamo le lettere A e B sono destinate, in modo predefinito, alle unità floppy.
Con un piccolo tip è comunque possibile, ad esempio, assegnare ad un’unità ZIP esterna l’identificativo B.
Per far ciò aprite l’Editor del registro di sistema (Start , Esegui… , REGEDIT) quindi portatevi in corrispondenza della chiave seguente:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices

Fate clic con il tasto destro del mouse sul valore \DosDevices\X: dove X è
l’identificativo assegnato all’unità ZIP quindi selezionate la voce
Rinomina.
Rinominate \DosDevices\X: in \DosDevices\B:
