Network Associates, azienda produttrice del software McAfee Antivirus è stata costretta a rilasciare un hotfix: alcune versioni di McAfee non sarebbero infatti in grado di intercettare e neutralizzare opportunamente il virus Klez.

Network Associates, azienda produttrice del software McAfee Antivirus è stata costretta a rilasciare un hotfix: alcune versioni di McAfee non sarebbero infatti in grado di intercettare e neutralizzare opportunamente il virus Klez.
Il problema si presenterebbe quando Klez tenta di autoinviarsi attraverso la rete locale utilizzando le condivisioni attive: McAfee lascerebbe il virus libero di diffondersi attraverso la LAN.
David Emm, product marketing manager di McAfee, ha dichiarato al sito silicon.com: “Si è trattato di un problema relativo al modo in cui McAfee effettua una scansione dei file bloccati dal sistema operativo, abbiamo rilasciato proprio un hotfix per risolvere il tutto”.
