Comincia a salire la “febbre Internet delle Cose”.
Microsoft ha infatti presentato quest’oggi la sua piattaforma, interamente basata su Azure, che fungerà da supporto per la gestione remota dei dispositivi facenti capo al mondo IoT (Internet of Things).

Il fenomeno, che abbiamo illustrato negli articoli Internet delle Cose, che cos’è e come averne un assaggio e Controllare dispositivi connessi alla rete con IFTTT, decollerà a breve ed è proprio per questo motivo che Microsoft desidera essere pronta con la sua offerta.

Microsoft presenta la piattaforma Azure per l'IoT
La soluzione Microsoft Azure IoT Hub consentirà di collegare ed interagire con miliardi di nuovi dispositivi IoT, capaci di inviare e ricevere un’enorme mole di dati su base mensile.

IoT Hub si propone come il ponte di interconnessione fra i dispositivi e la gestione degli stessi attraverso il cloud. È possibile utilizzare protocolli standard e personalizzati, tra cui HTTP, AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) e MQTT (MQ Telemetry Transport).

Facendo leva sulla piattaforma Azure, i clienti Microsoft potranno anche analizzare ed elaborare in tempo reale i dati raccolti sui dispositivi remoti.
