Avast! ha appena reso disponibile una nuova versione (1.0.192) di Avast! Virus Cleaner, un “removal tool” gratuito – di dimensioni estremamente ridotte – che permette di andare immediatamente alla ricerca di tutti i worm più diffusi, eventualmente presenti sul proprio personal computer. Il programma effettua autonomamente il lavoro di diagnosi e pulizia: il pulsante Start scanning consente di dare inizio alla procedura di scansione del contenuto del disco fisso.
E’ utilizzabile per scansioni di emergenza (non sostituisce l’adozione di un antivirus aggiornato). Prima di avviare la scansione è bene disattivare qualunque antivirus residente in memoria. Durante la scansione è preferibile non avviare alcuna applicazione.
