Quanta Compute: sembra un trasformatore, è un miniPC

Al Computex 2015 di Taipei, Nick Parker, vice presidente corporate della divisione OEM di Microsoft, ha presentato alcuni esempi di dispositivi hardware realizzati ispirandosi direttamente alla filosofia di Windows 10.

Al Computex 2015 di Taipei, Nick Parker, vice presidente corporate della divisione OEM di Microsoft, ha presentato alcuni esempi di dispositivi hardware realizzati ispirandosi direttamente alla filosofia di Windows 10. Uno dei prodotti più interessanti si chiama Quanta Compute Plug.
A prima vista può sembrare un normale trasformatore, dotato della classica spina elettrica per la connessione ad una presa a muro. In realtà, Quanta Compute Plug contiene al suo interno un vero e proprio miniPC.
Dotato di una porta HDMI, capace di trasformare qualunque TV in un computer, il dispositivo integra anche due porte USB 3.0.

Stando a quanto spiegato da Parker, Quanta Compute Plug può interagire con l’assistente digitale Cortana consentendo agli utenti di controllare il miniPC con la voce via Bluetooth (si possono adoperare un altro device oppure delle normali cuffie Bluetooth).

Peccato solo la mancanza di una presa elettrica passante; lacuna che crediamo verrà sistemata nelle prossime versioni del Quanta Compute Plug.
