WhatsApp Business: le nuove API, parzialmente a pagamento, per restare in contatto con i clienti

WhatsApp propone alle imprese un'alternativa più economica rispetto alle soluzioni tradizionali per la comunicazione, il supporto e l'assistenza. L'azienda di proprietà di Facebook comincia a monetizzare il servizio di messaggistica.

WhatsApp ha lanciato quest’oggi il primo prodotto destinato ai clienti business attraverso il quale inizierà a monetizzare le sue attività.
Le API WhatsApp Business permetteranno di rispondere ai messaggi degli utenti, gratuitamente, per le 24 ore successive dalla loro ricezione. Trascorso tale periodo di tempo WhatsApp richiederà un “obolo” di entità differente a seconda della nazione in cui il servizio viene utilizzato.

Le API business consentiranno di inviare automaticamente conferme sulla spedizione dei prodotti, promemoria sugli appuntamenti e biglietti per gli eventi.
Il bello è che il sistema di messaggistica di WhatsApp può essere integrato con altre piattaforme come Zendesk, MessageBird, Twilio o altri strumenti proprietari.

Dopo l’acquisizione multimiliardaria da parte di Facebook, nel 2014, è giunta l’ora per WhatsApp di cominciare a fare cassa, forte anche degli 1,5 miliardi di utenti iscritti alla piattaforma di messaggistica.
WhatsApp è fiduciosa di poter diffondere le sue nuove API tra gli utenti business: si tratta infatti di un’alternativa decisamente più conveniente rispetto alle soluzioni di supporto di tipo tradizionale.
