La nuova scheda Raspberry Pi 3 è stata lanciata appena qualche giorno fa. Tra le più importanti migliorie segnaliamo l’aggiunta del supporto WiFi e Bluetooth con il prezzo che resta fissato a 35 dollari: Raspberry Pi 3, le novità della nuova scheda.

Da parte sua, Microsoft ha voluto subito confermare il supporto per la nuova scheda Raspberry aggiornando Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Preview.

Windows 10 IoT Core è compatibile con Raspberry Pi 3
Si tratta della versione di Windows 10 espressamente progettata per i dispositivi del mondo Internet delle Cose (Internet delle Cose, che cos’è e come averne un assaggio). Compatibile con i processori ARM, Windows 10 IoT Core può essere installata dai maker sui vari single-board computer usati principalmente come piattaforme per la prototipazione: Raspberry Pi 2: che cos’è e come funziona.

Nella nuova versione di anteprima di Windows 10 IoT Core, disponibile già da oggi (vedere questa pagina), Microsoft spiega di aver introdotto il supporto per Raspberry Pi 3 ma anticipa che nuove funzionalità saranno aggiunte nel corso delle prossime settimane.

Microsoft fornisce anche il nuovo installer compatibile con il sistema operativo NOOBS consigliato da Raspberry. Scegliendo Windows 10 IoT Core da NOOBS, l’installazione del sistema operativo Microsoft sarà cosa immediata (vedere questa pagina di supporto).
