Windows 7: il Service Pack 1 diventa obbligatorio

Il Service Pack 1 per Windows 7 è un importante pacchetto di aggiornamento che Microsoft ha provveduto a rilasciare in versione definitiva ormai più di due anni fa (Rilasciato il Service Pack 1 per Windows 7 e Server 2008 R2).

Il Service Pack 1 per Windows 7 è un importante pacchetto di aggiornamento che Microsoft ha provveduto a rilasciare in versione definitiva ormai più di due anni fa (Rilasciato il Service Pack 1 per Windows 7 e Server 2008 R2). Da quest’oggi, però, il colosso di Redmond obbligherà tutti gli utenti ritardatari ad acconsentire all’installazione del Service Pack 1.

La decisione è motivata dal fatto che il prossimo mese di aprile cesserà il supporto per la versione di Windows 7 sprovvista di Service Pack 1. Microsoft vuole quindi assicurarsi che per quella data tutti gli utenti del sistema operativo abbiano correttamente aggiornato Windows 7 attraverso l’applicazione del Service Pack 1.
Le macchine Windows 7 Service Pack 1 potranno continuare a ricevere patch ed aggiornamenti di sicurezza sino al mese di gennaio 2020, così come avevamo evidenziato nell’articolo Microsoft svela il ciclo di vita di Windows 8 e di Windows RT.

Per l’installazione del Service Pack 1 è necessario circa 1 GB di spazio libero su disco fisso e, come consigliano i tecnici Microsoft, è bene assicurarsi che durante il processo di riconfigurazione del sistema non venga a mancare l’alimentazione.
